The website www.WestIndian.US caught my attention about 1 1/2 years ago. I like the generic name of West Indian but event more importantly I noticed how they used cTLD (country top level domain) to generate over 2,000 visitors per month (compete rank).
This shows that you can still have a website that may be generic but registered under the country code. Canada (ca) lead in registered [dot] ca names. This is a viable option for those who are new to domains or may have an idea for a domain name but the [dot] com was taken. Generic names are still available!!
My suggestion for www.WestIndian.US would be to monetize site properly. This website is yearning for original content. Why use youtube, when you can develop your own video platform. Keep domaining!!
