Machel Montano & HD: ready for virtual takeover?

Machel Montano and the HD family is paving the way for Soca at venues like Madison Square Garden & Radio City Hall. It appears that the HD family is gearing up for a virtual take over as well. The Xtatik Ltd has registered the names of their artistes and gearing up to launch individual sites. Farmer Nappy has FarmerNappy.com and Patrice Roberts has PatriceRobertsmusic.com. Umi Marcano and Zan's links both resolve to their myspace pages. I checked and Z-A-N, a premium three letter domain, is already registered by a Vancouver company. Zanmusic.com is already registered by a singer/songwriter who has nothing to do with Soca. I am sure that for the right price, the company in Vancouver may let go of Zan dot com.



The most interesting aspect of Machel's virtual takeover is Caribbean Planet, the website is not live yet. It reads; build it-protect it-share it. Could Machel be working on a social media website? Could this be his team's entry into the digital download arena? I have no idea! What I do know is, Lee Designs is responsible for all websites development. Lee Designs has worked with the likes of God Bless Production, Rhona Rox,Tribe, Soca Awards, and many more.


Machel is doing a very good thing by securing the names of his artistes online. I cannot say this for others in the Caribbean entertainment market.
