I recently had a conversation with a sixteen year old, who asked about the song I was listening to. I told him the song is probably three times his age. He contested and we did a quick search and found out the song was 45 years old. The name of the song was "my girl" by The Temptations. The next obvious question I had was " wonder what songs will those in the future be listening from today".
Timeless, transcends and clearly reach many people across the span of time. I was not even born 45 years ago. My mother was barely a teenager. There is something to be said for good lyrics. I know I will be listening to Zandolie, Black Prince, Beres, Bob, Dennis, Sparrow, Calypso Rose in the future, I am unsure who will stand the test of time from today.
