I must admit I was a skeptic with the TLD dot mobi. Nothing much has changed due to my ongoing belief that dot com is strong (brand wise) and is marketed by major companies as the domain of choice. While it is difficult for another tld to overtake dot com. There are a number of different companies clearly aiming for the mobile market.
Iphones made it possible in terms of what is practical on a cell phone. Users from the Caribbean will clearly benefit and will utilize the mobile platform. Dot mobi maybe resurrected by a mobile platform called MIKZ (Read more).
One of the more well known Caribbean dot mobi is the Dancehall.Mobi. I like this website and I think it has great potential. Soca.mobi is already registered and I would love to get my hands on this domain. Read more on Dot mobi
