FAYANN
The First Lady Of Soca

Dynamic, spirited, natural, evocative, exuberant, and
sensual are just a few words used to describe soca diva
Fayann Lyons.

Hailed as “The First Lady of Soca”, Fayann was born
in Point Fortin, Trinidad, and began her singing career
back in 2001. After serving for three years as the lead
vocal for one of Trinidad’s best soca band - Invasion,
the free spirited singer-songwriter got her first taste of
musical success when she became only the third
female in history to achieve the honor of winning the
coveted Road March Queen title with a solo
composition in Trinidad and Tobago’s annual
Carnival. Her 2003 hit “Display”, was the most played
song during Carnival in that year.

In 2004 she was the
recipient of three COTT (the Copyright Music
Organization of Trinidad and Tobago) Music Awards.
Having graced the stage of places such as London,
United States, Canada and all major Caribbean Islands,
Fayann has also performed alongside major
international acts such as Trench of Naughty by
Nature, Mya, Damian Marley, Maxi Priest, Machel
Montano, Bunji Garlin, Sean Paul, Shaggy, and the late
Lucky Dube, to name a few.

Always seeking new projects, Fayann and her
management company, Pumpstation Entertainment is
currently working on her first album schedule to
launch April 2008. The album will feature several
interesting collaboration with well renowned
international acts produced by some of the best pop
reggae and soca producers in the music industry.
