I want to take this time to thank those who have supported us over the past year. We launched www.DancehallSoca.com in May 2007, with a clear vision to focus on the plethora of emerging artist from the Caribbean and diaspora.
The first artists we profiled were Kris Kelli (Jamaica) and Maddzart (St.Vincent & Grenadines). It is now a year later and we grew from a couple thousand visitors per month to over 60,000 monthly visitors. With a renewed sense of responsibility, we want to continue to provide a platform for emerging artists who create good music.
As the year went on, we added new features such as "De Scenes". For the first publication of De Scenes, we profiled the Soca diva Jadine's first video shoot.
[ Jadine is now on Soca Gold 2008,congrats!!]. In the fourth quarter, we acquired www.DancehallSoca.TV, which will provide first rate content production on channels such as Carib Scene, CT FLAVA TV, Sasha TV, Video Light-user generated, Video Throwback, and more.
Recently, DancehallSoca began working with Caribbean Posh magazine (www.CaribbeanPosh.com) to establish POSH unsigned artist. More importantly, we have established a platform for collaboration which allow us provide exposure to more Caribbean artists. It is important that we continue to support our artist, support our culture, support our heritage. Blessings!!
