As you know maintaining an online identity can be a daunting task for celebrities. At times celebrities will put (Official) next to their pages. This is a process any person can duplicate and can be difficult to differentiate from imposters. Twitter introduces their Verified accounts for what they call "well-known artists, athletes, actors, public officials, and public agencies." I am sure some Caribbean artistes may fit this category but twitter has made it clear "we've only verified a handful of accounts to help with cases of mistaken identity or impersonation."
