Central club goers no longer have to traverse the highway to Club Zen and 51 Degrees in Port-of-Spain, or travel south to Sting Nightclub or Space la Nouba to find the hottest liming spots. Newly opened Club India, located at 35 Main Road, Chaguanas, aims to be the official hot spot for those living in central Trinidad and environs.
At the launch of the club, on May 29, groups Karma, SSL Melobugs and Spread Pal performed Bollywood, Chutney and Soca hits. Kerrie Ramoutar was a blaze of colour as she went through her Indian dance routine and the Malick Tassa Group had everyone moving to the beat at the opening ceremony. The decor of the club is purely Oriental, with various eye-catching photos of Bollywood stars, as well as Indian artefacts. Read more
