Six police officers who were arrested and suspended from their duties seven years ago as the Police Force investigated their alleged ties to convicted drug lord Samuel "Ninety" Knowles are still on the force, and two of them have since been promoted, Acting Police Commissioner Reginald Ferguson confirmed to The Nassau Guardian yesterday.

The police chief also confirmed that among those officers was a policewoman who was accused of having a relationship with Knowles, who has been labeled the biggest drug trafficker in the region. She has since been promoted. Police learned of their association from wiretaps of Knowles' phone, according to a source close to the investigation.
